Conclave Drivers Needed Still!

Hello Arrowmen Parents!

I hope many of you are having a great evening. I'm writing this email to let you guys know that we did not have many people fill out the form in the last email I sent out regarding drivers for Conclave. Without transportation many youth in our lodge will be unable to go to Conclave this year and as it's one of the highlight events in an arrowman's OA journey and scouting career it's sad to see some miss out because they could not get a ride. Please read below for information regarding transportation and fill out the google form so that we have enough drivers for Conclave! Thank you.

One of the most common reasons we get for not attending OA events is because scouts are unable to find a ride. Unfortunately, dozens, if not hundreds, of scouts face this problem every year. Right now we need some outstanding adult volunteers who would be willing to drive people to and from the event. If you are not in the OA but want to help drive then you do not need to register for the event or stay the weekend but you do need to fill out the form below.

Please consider being a driver and taking as many scouts as you can when you make your way to Conclave. You will be doing a great service and the people whom you give rides for will get to experience an event to truly remember.

The biggest criteria for driving though is to make sure Youth Protection Training is being followed. Unless the scout is a member of your family you are required to drive 2 scouts at a minimum and please make sure to visit the link here for the Guide to Safe Scouting guidelines on driving youth, and make sure when you fill out the form to include a copy of your completed YP training. You must be at least 18 years old to drive youth arrowmen.

Conclave will be held at Flint River High Adventure Area (Camp Thunder) at 1166 Dripping Rock Rd, Molena, GA. This is a 2-hour 45-minute drive from Scoutland.

If you are interested in being a driver then please be sure to fill out this Google form: https://forms.gle/nX72kgnVfaSfyyCp6

Please upload a copy of your completed and up to date Youth Protection Training to the google form. A link or screenshot of the certificate will suffice.

Thanks, everyone for their dedication to service! If you have any questions please feel free to email me at lodge.chief@mowogo.org and if you're over 18 make sure to copy a second adult. lodge.adviser@mowogo.org is my adviser Mr. Royston for YP purposes and wisdom of course.

Transportation to Conclave

Hello everyone,

We are now less than a month away from Conclave, and we want to make sure as many people as possible are able to go. One of the biggest reasons people (specifically youth) decide not to go to Conclave is because they often do not have a ride. This year, as a lodge, we are making sure we have drivers to help transport scouts to and from Conclave. If you are over 18, then you received an email from me not too long ago asking for Conclave drivers. If you are able, then please go and fill out that form so we know that you can help with transportation.

However, that is not what this email is about. This email is geared toward youth. If you need a ride to Conclave, then please fill out the form here.

Conclave is located at Camp Thunder, which is about 2-4 hours away, depending on where you are in our council. It is located in Molena, Georgia. If you are not registered for Conclave, then go ahead and go to https://sectione6.oa-bsa.org/, click the program tab, go to "Conclave," and register there.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at lodge.chief@mowogo.org (copy another adult if you're over 18 so that we remain YP compliant). If you have specific questions about what conclave is, then you can reach out to me or refer to one of the lodge-wide Conclave emails that have been coming out over the last few weeks. If you have not received any, then check your spam folder, and if you still don't see them, then reach out to us, and we would love to help out. Thank you.
