Section E6 Indian Winter

Brothers,

Section E6 Indian Winter is approaching! Be sure to sign up here or at sectione6.oa-bsa.org!

Indian Winter is a Section event in which Arrowmen from 11 lodges all across Georgia and Alabama will participate. You will have the opportunity to network and meet with all of these Scouters! At Indian Winter, get ready for a weekend of Fellowship, fun, training, and Indian affairs! Indian Winter was the event that triggered a love of Indian affairs for several Arrowmen in our lodge and you will be in for a truly unique experience. Additionally, several trainings will be held in the morning which vary from bettering your leadership skills to learning beading.

Other activities that Arrowmen are usually excited about include patch trading and exploring a scout camp you typically won't camp at.

In addition to all these activities, there will be a plethora of new activities including Quest Events 101, and a release party for a new Section music video!

Attached below is a letter written by your Section Vice Chief Lindsey Mercer who will be leading Indian Winter!

I look forward to seeing you there!

Captcha Test Failing on Registration Forms

Some of you who have been attempting to register for an event in the last several weeks may have run into a captcha error when trying to process your registration.

Captcha is an anti spam test to keep automated internet software from spamming our website. Because we present all of our forms out in the open with no password protection, we must use some type of anti spam protection to keep things running smoothly.

The captcha failure encountered occured during group registration only, and is due to a bug in our registration software. We have been in contact with the developers and have installed a workaround that uses a different type of user verification which requires entering some letters and numbers. This is a bit more tedius than the invisible or check mark form of captcha, but it has us back up and supporting group registration again. This new verification method is now used on both individual and group forms.

Once the registration software has been updated with a fix, we will move back to a less cumbersome verification method.
In the mean time, sorry for any inconvenience.
